Safe is the new sexy: we are prioritizing hygiene

Rückenwind employees get their dekra workplace hygiene certifications.

Cologne, 25.05.2020 – Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures. The coronavirus pandemic had a massive impact on the events industry as a whole. Suddenly, infection prevention has become just as important as creativity, passion and high-quality brand experiences. Hygiene is more than just a priority – it’s an absolute necessity without which events can’t take place at all. Events agencies have to prove compliance with legal regulations that keep participants safe.

Company hygiene officer Nadin Abel says: “The need for hygiene systems is here to stay. In the past, we probably didn’t give enough consideration to the hygiene of our customers, visitors and of course our entire production team. RÜCKENWIND will enforce high hygiene standards in future.”

Some of our employees have now been trained and certified as official hygiene officers for trade fairs and events. This ensures that we can approach hygiene as professionally as possible and guarantee the safety of guests at our events.

Mario Wanitschek, another of our company hygiene officers, explains: “To ensure that events run smoothly, every detail counts. That includes knowing the location and number of participants as well as being aware of any local regulations.”

Having gained a comprehensive legal and medical understanding on hygiene, we can operate all future events with confidence and offer our clients peace of mind. We are now highly qualified to implement our own hygiene systems in full compliance with the regulations, liaise with the authorities, and provide comprehensive consultancy and support to our clients on how to develop and execute brand experiences in the future. This includes:

• Designing and checking hygiene systems

• Legal hygiene standards (Infection Protection Act, Robert Koch Institute guidelines, trade association guidelines, regional coronavirus regulations)

• Risk assessment and liaising with authorities

• Micro-organisms and infections (especially SARS-CoV-2)

• Disinfection and cleaning

• Specific hygiene measures at events

• Workplace health and safety

The regulatory landscape is changing all the time so it’s also important to keep on top of the latest developments, stay informed – almost daily – and ensure that we are up to date in terms of our training. By monitoring the situation on a daily basis, we can guarantee that we are in full compliance with the latest safety standards, whatever the situation. When you have a physical event, it’s important to have not just a tailor-made hygiene system in place. It’s also key to have hygiene officers on site to check that everything is being done correctly. When you partner with RÜCKENWIND, you can now put safety first.
