Background: Digital transformation is the most significant growth driver of the future and it is set to fundamentally change the sports industry. The first digitization conference for the sports industry, ISPO Digitize Summit, was held in summer 2018 to look to the future and provide a forum for discussion, learning and discovery. Our task was to plan and manage the 2019 summit.
The two-day conference had a packed program with about 50 prominent keynote speakers plus talks, workshops, coaching sessions, and expert panels. The congress offered the sports sector and sports manufacturers the chance to explore new digital business opportunities and digitization solutions. Big, prestigious brands like Zalando, adidas, Sport2000, Force of Disruption, Mirrads, Neocless and Microsoft and Sebastian Lancestremere, President of the Global Sports Innovation Center added a touch of glamor, sharing their knowledge and attracting the crowds. As well as managing the event behind the scenes, we got plenty of inspiration during the two-day event too. We also integrated the eSports summit ES_COM into the schedule and ran the evening event for conference attendees.
A total of 650 guests congregated at the Munich Trade Fair Center to attend the visionary event. Fueled by inspiration, they will now be helping to shape our digital future.
