Mission:

Organized and hosted by DDV – the driving force in the data-driven economy – the Max Award is THE awards show for dialog marketing campaigns in Germany. With awards in 35 categories, the event recognizes marketing that sparks real dialogue and achieves tangible results. Our task was to make the event inspiring, modern and festive.

Solution:

The quote from Alexander von Humboldt on the wall of our Berlin-based event location, the Humboldt Box, was right on the mark: "Ideas are only useful if enough people believe them." Our pop-up location was architecturally bold but gritty; great for an awards show that recognizes bold, but not pretty, marketing. We also ensured that the Max Award colors were everywhere in the décor and design. The event tagline was "A Toast for the Winners," but everyone was having a whale of a time, including the jury and non-winners. And with the crème de la crème of dialog marketing world in attendance, we thought we’d get them to show off their creative chops by creating an amazing new logo using tape and a large canvas.

Success:

The Max Award is an institution – a key date in the dialog marketing calendar – and the guests enjoyed another successful show in a relaxed and chatty atmosphere. The room was buzzing with motivation, inspiration and esteem for the winners. Those who had missed out were encouraged to make the podium next year and bask in the rain of confetti.
